Art for a Cause!

A benefit for the Sunshine Kids Foundation | Saturday, November 11, 2017 | Hosted by the BHHS Fox & Roach Margate, NJ Sales Office

On Saturday November 11 the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Margate Office sponsored Art for a Cause, a fundraiser for the Sunshine Kids Foundation. Sunshine Kids is a nonprofit serving kids with cancer by providing exciting activities and events for young patients undergoing treatment across North America.

 

The event raised over $10,000.00 from area business sponsors and ticket sales, and more than 100 people attended.

 

This first annual event featured live and silent art auctions. All art was donated from local artists, as well as the clients, customers and agents of the Margate Office. The Margate School District was involved as their students painted happy scenes with sunshine. Their art was on display and certificates awarded, and some children’s art was auctioned.

 

Top notch area restaurants donated food. Approximately 100 people attended and Diane from the morning show on WAYV assisted the Auctioneer, Lou Solomon. Music was provided by pianist Joe Mancini, Steve Schafer was photographer and his son, Mitchell played the electric violin.
