To some, it means ‘I am a big boy or girl going to school for the first time.’ To others, it signifies the beginning of a new school year. The backpacks we receive are also a blessing to our parents who often struggle to provide the back-to-school items their child needs. Since 2006, we’ve collected over 26,000 backpacks and supplies for homeless and foster care children in DE, NJ, and PA. Last year we collected 5,345 backpacks! That’s 5,345 kids who can begin their first day of school with pride and confidence.

This year we are again collecting filled backpacks for homeless and foster kids across the tri-state and Lehigh Valley areas. Every kid deserves their very own backpack and supplies to start their school year.

Your $20 donation will help give a kid a new, filled backpack to start the year and keep that backpack full with enough supplies for the entire school year. A child that is comfortable to go back to school and prepared for the entire school year is a child that can achieve in school.

Once again, for every 50 backpacks collected by a department or sales office, BHHS Fox & Roach will donate an additional 5 backpacks to be included in your total!

All donated backpacks are distributed by Cradles to Crayons to their network of approved service partners.
