Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are at the heart of all we do-each week volunteers provide over 200 hours of service at our facilities!
There are many ways to volunteer and, since we have facilities located throughout Bucks County, you won’t have to go far to help!
Food Pantry at Penndel:
Please contact Trish Rowen at trowen@bchg.org.

Food Pick Up Volunteers – to pick up bread and bakery items from Shoprite located at 1603 Big Oak Rd. Yardley. Volunteers must have an SUV, pick up truck, or van. The food needs to be picked up between 8am-9am on Mondays, Wednesdays and brought to our Penndel Pantry. Boxes may weigh up to 40 lbs.
Food Pantry at Doylestown:

Food Pick Up Volunteers – to pick up food items from Walmart and BJ’s  located in Warrington Volunteers must have an SUV, pick up truck, or van. There are opportunities between 9:00 am and 10:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Boxes may weigh up to 40 lbs.
Food Pantry at Milford Square:
Please contact our Food Pantry Coordinator Maddie Burgess at mburgess@bchg.org.

Pantry Volunteers – need a volunteer to help stock, check expiration dates, receive donations. Available hours Tuesdays between 12:00pm and 6:00pm.

Food Pick Up Volunteers – to pick up meat and bakery items from BJ’s in Quakertown. Volunteers must have an SUV, pick up truck, or van.  The food needs to be picked up at 11:00 am on Tuesday and brought to our Milford Square Pantry. Must be able to carry 40 lbs.

Quakertown Shelter:
Please contact Client Resource Coordinator Kathleen Dorrian at kdorrian@bchg.org.

Handyman – need experienced handy person to put furniture together, move furniture, do small repairs.

Bensalem, Penndel, Morrisville, Doylestown, Quakertown Shelters:
Looking for people to do donation drives for the following: Household supplies, Baby supplies, gift card drive, personal care kits.
