SUMMARY:Annual Build A House...Build A Dream Contest for Kids
DESCRIPTION:Fox & Roach/Trident Charities & Habitat for Humanity of Chester County are excited to announce that we will be hosting our 20th Annual Build a House…Build a Dream contest for 5th-grade students on March 11\, 2023 at the Church Farm School in Exton\, PA.\nIn this competition\, students work individually or in teams to build their own three-dimensional\, model dream home which they then bring on the day of the contest for judging by professional architects\, engineers\, and builders. Over the years\, houses have been fashioned from recycled materials\, tree trunks\, pencils\, and pasta. Students are only limited by their creativity! All participants receive recognition for their efforts and the top winners earn prizes. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the need for affordable housing and funds for local Habitat homebuilding programs for low-income families in Chester County. \nVisit the HFHCC Build a House Build a Dream website to register! You can also learn more about how affordable housing impacts everyone in the community and how making it more available can strengthen our economy. \nCLICK HERE to Volunteer for Build a House…Build a Dream\nCLICK HERE to Sign up to be a judge of the competition!\n \n\n\nBelow you’ll find the official grading rubric for judging the competition. Judges will select winners based on their merit in four categories.
