About the Build A House…Build A Dream Contest for kids

Fox & Roach/Trident Charities is proud to be the founding sponsor of the Build A House…Build A Dream contest which raises funds for and awareness of the home-building efforts of Habitat for Humanity in Chester County and the greater Delaware Valley.

2020 marks the 17th anniversary of the contest. To date, more than 6,000 fifth-grade students from 750 area schools have participated, and roughly $500,000 has been raised through sponsorships in support of Habitat. In addition, hundreds of volunteer hours have been given by BHHS Fox & Roach/Trident sales associates and employees.

The contest is open to any fifth-grader in public, private, charter, parochial, or homeschool in the greater Delaware Valley. Students work individually or in pairs to build their own three-dimensional model dream home to be evaluated by a panel of judges from the building industry. All children receive recognition for their efforts. The contest is free to enter and relies exclusively on sponsorships to raise money.
