Since 2007, a team from Fox & Roach and The Trident Group has participated in the race for the cure through Team Little Pink Houses, joining with others as part of the mission that will assure EVERY breast cancer patient emerges as a breast cancer SURVIVOR.
Over the past 12 years, Team Little Pink Houses has raised $21,500 from friends and donors, helping Komen in their “Bold Goal” to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths in the U.S. by 50 percent within the next decade!
New and Notable
Starting this year, the event will have several key differences. The route through the city and along the river will be replaced by a walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art at Eakins Oval to Logan Circle and back, which participants can complete as many times as they like.
There will also be tents on site representing Komen’s four organizational pillars of research, community, care and action. Walk into a research tent for example, and look into microscopes to visually compare cancer and non-cancer cells.
Having a contained site will create a richer, more fulfilling experience because every person sharing in the activities at the MORE THAN PINK Walk will have registered for the event and be passionate about the cause and dedicated to helping to end breast cancer.
