What Fox & Roach/Trident Charities and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox and Roach are doing to address the coronavirus pandemic

Fox & Roach/Trident Charities, the charitable foundation of BHHS Fox & Roach, REALTORS® and The Trident Group has supported our local communities for 25 years, donating over $7.2 million and more than 241,000 volunteer hours to local non-profits. The unprecedented pandemic has created an increased need in the communities we serve, and the need will continue to grow and be long-lasting. The charities’ Board of Trustees has recently approved extraordinary relief efforts to address the current crisis.

Emergency Food Relief

Fox & Roach/Trident Charities has pledged $25,000 for food relief across our service areas in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Our food providers report they are seeing as much as a 200% uptick in food insecurity due to the COVID-19 crises.

We have the opportunity to help now. School closures have limited access to food for children and their families that depend on their local school district for meals. The spike in unemployment threatens the well-being of families that live paycheck to paycheck. Our funds will go to these listed organizations that provide nutritional support to children and their families with breakfast, lunch, and emergency weekend food bags.

The $25,000 in emergency food relief is donated on behalf of both the G. William Fox, Sr. Memorial Fund and Board of Trustees funds. Although these food banks are supported by many of our local offices and departments annually through volunteer efforts and office fund donations, no office or department funds are being used for this effort.

Emergency Aid to Local Hospitals

In addition, Fox & Roach/Trident Charities has pledged $21,000 from our G. William Fox, Sr. Memorial Fund to local hospitals in Camden, Philadelphia and Wilmington that serve underprivileged children, families, and individuals most in need. There has been and continues to be an overwhelming call for support to our healthcare providers. These brave people are putting their own well-being at risk while caring for the very ill. The funds will be given to assist their philanthropic efforts towards their COVID-19 Response Fund & Coronavirus Emergency Fund.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you are able to help a senior or neighbor in need, help. If you can donate anything, big or small, to one of our many local charities, first responders or hospitals, please do. Many charities have set up emergency funds to help those less fortunate who still need housing, food, baby items, and so much more.
