A Prepared Child is a Confident Child

Teachers report poverty as one of the biggest obstacles to student success. With increased barriers to quality education due to COVID-19, it is more critical than ever to provide the essential supplies kids need to thrive at school or in remote learning settings.

Cradles to Crayons’ Ready for Learning initiative sets students up for success by providing learning essentials to 50,000 children in our market region—free of charge. These supplies are distributed through 180+ area social services agency partners, serving kids hardest hit by the pandemic.

Now in its 16th year, the Annual Backpack Challenge has become a important tradition within BHHS Fox & Roach and The Trident Group. Since 2006, our sales professionals, employees and management have donated more than 45,000 backpacks filled with school supplies for homeless and foster care children in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Our commitment to the communities in which we live and work is the hallmark of the BHHS Fox & Roach family of companies.

Last year donations of over $116,000 provided almost 6,000 filled backpacks to area children who would otherwise go without! What an incredible showing of generosity by sales associates and employees in a truly difficult year.

Your $20 donation will give a child a new, filled backpack to start the year and keep that backpack full with enough supplies for the entire school year. A child who is ready for learning, given the necessary supplies for the entire school year, is a child who is prepared to achieve.

Company Contribution

BHHS Fox & Roach and The Trident Group support our commitment to help disadvantaged children prepare to learn and achieve. As in past years, the company will donate 5 filled backpacks & supplies for every 50 backpacks donated by your office or department. In 2020, the BHHS Fox & Roach/Trident Executive Team increased our office and department efforts with a donation of $6,800 for an additional 340 filled backpacks!
